Need help -- TPMS
I get a bright red warning saying something like 'tire defect visit workshop.' If I go to the screen that would give me tire pressures, I get no readings and an invitation to reset. Trying to reset gives me the red warning.
I am guessing it is a TPMS problem. If it is an individual monitor in a tire I can replace it or even replace it for all four tires. Or it might be a failure of the master unit in the vehicle. I am trying to avoid going to the dealer who charged me several hundred dollars for replacing a single tire unit [more than a year ago]. What should I do? I live in Chicago.
