Downgrade brakes to fit LM Reps?

I know, i sounds crazy. I have a 2003 c32 and I am looking to install staggered 19" LM Reps, specifically, the STR-601, or ESM-004(any other if they will fit). From what I have researched, there is not nearly enough room with the stock AMG front calipers (rear are fine). I am NOT a hard braking guy. Here are my Q's
-Can I use a set of front calipers off a basic c-class / bolt on?
-How much clearance would this add?
-If the wheel I want fit a basic C, safe to assume they would fit after a conversion?

Again, I know it sounds nutz, but the aesthetics is more important than high performance braking. Thanks in advance, Mike.

You plan to not only put ****ty $600 heavy cast wheels on your AMG but you plan to degrade it further to accomplish it... You are on your own aesthetic king!

the wheels I am looking at are the same weight as the real LMs, and just a round. Thanks for your input.

Actually you may be right, the real bbs aren't that nice either. They are hugely overweight though they may at least be strong which the cast replicas are not. Anyhow, you are downgrading your car twice for looks but it's up to you. If you use the non AMG brakes and these wheels they should fit if Mercedes did not widen the track, or you can use hubcentric spacers with your new wheels if the specs allow. How much of a clearance problem are you having? I can tell you that you probably need at least 20mm of lug bolt bite so if you need like 5mm spacers then you wouldn't need new lug bolts- say if you went from 20 to 15mm bc of the spacer. But if you need 10mm or more then get the extended bolts to accommodate the spacer. Assuming they will fit under your wheel arches. If they don't then you could add camber but this is how the hellaflush, hellastupid movement started in relentless pursuit of aesthetics.

Thanks for the responses. Arekux- have you seen the STR601 on a C32? From what I can tell, they would stick out about 3/4" past the fender, but please let me know if this is not accurate. Nero Tenebre- there is the answer to your Q. As you can tell, I am very particular about the look. I am also looking at the Stance SC5. More than I want to spend, but a very clean looking wheel.

If they are sticking out past the fender without spacers then how will replacing the brakes help? And how do they fit a regular C class? Do the AMG cars have a wider track than the regular car? Sounds like you would need to machine the hub to get them to fit and then brake clearance may be an issue. Also it's not recommended to machine off too much material, like 5-7mm max. Just find some wheels that fit, those are a generic style and doesn't sound t like they are even close to fitting.

I did some additional research last night and here is where I am. Authentic LM's are a +32, and you need a 5mm spacer toclear the caliper, netting +27 and I understand they are about flush. The reps are a +35, and I understand they need a 10mm (hubcentric) spacer to clear the caliper, netting a +25, only +2mm different that the real thing. Some of the info I am getting is conflicting (arekux- I hope you are right brother). I am going to order (1) 8.5 front rep today, and test fit.

Did you already order the 5mm spacer? Or 10 with new bolts?
