Studs screw in so far they come loose.

I just purchased some wheels for my 97 S500 coupe (W140) and the offset on these wheels are 30 or 35 can't remember, They fit on just fine actually with no rubbing, they're off a 99 E320, but when I go to mount them on the car the studs screw in so far that there's no more thread left on the studs so they come loose since the threading only goes half way up the stud. I'm not sure if I need spacers or different studs. Any help please?

Do I need double sided studs or shorter? Idk where I would get shorter ones but I'm curious to know

Sounds like you need to visit a tire shop.

Make sure you have the right ball/cone seating and they'll measure length of studs too when they order you a new set.

Too long and you'll probably hit your brake callipers or discs anyways.
