will 225/50/16 fit without rubbing?

In the market for new tires on my 91' E300, I have 215/55/16 on it now, looking at 225/50/16 Michelin Primacy MXV4. Is this a good match with stock suspension or should I stick with the tire size I have now? Thanks, OLY

depends on the weather
I am assuming that you have a w124 chassis 300E since you stated a '91 model year ... if that is the case 225/50-16 will be too wide and cause rubbing on the fenders.
