Shipping wheels + tires?

Hola-

In the classifieds I'm trying to sell my stock wheels + tires. I've had wheels+tires shipped to me before, and I've shipped some many years ago using the same packing they arrived in. If I recall correctly, the guy had cut cardboard circles for both sides of each wheel then just thrown a bunch of tape over the edges to keep them in place.

Does anyone have more experience shipping them? Do you just take them to UPS and they package them? Is cardboard on either side sufficient?

Thanks for any info. Hoped to sell them local but looks like I'll have to ship.

just google it. shipping doesn't require complex preparation.

Well that's embarrassing. Damn I'm a retard. I google everything and laugh at ppl who can't figure things out. Too much drinking this weekend I guess. Thanks for the pointer.

one thing i love about the web is that no matter what question i have....or have
'hmmm....' about, someone probably already posted the same question and all
i need to do is find out what they did. there are answers which evolve over
time and have updated info. tire shipping....nah.

depends on the weather
you will need a padding between the cardboard and the wheel as the cardboard can shift back and forth marring the wheel finish
