Does anyone know the load carrying rating of E500 wheels details inside...
SubscribeThe wheels are 17x8.5 ET38 OEM E500 non-sport with following part numbers stamped on the inside of the wheels:
"B6 647 2157" and "A 211 401 1602". The reason - would like to use them on my ML as winter setup (with correct tires of course).
I know...I know - can not use car's wheels on a truck, but this is not the question here. ML "needs" at least 900kg/1900lbs each, can anyone have any idea how to find out the answer to my question - the dealer is no help. If E500's wheels are at least 700kg/1500lbs, then its good enough for me.
Was not sure where would get the response I need, so posted in W211 forum as well.
TIA.

Could it possibly say it in the owners manual or on the inside of the door jam??? I have not had a chance to look at mine to be of more assistance since I am away from home on business for a couple of weeks. Check it out if you haven't already...
