Do I need new springs?
1995 E300 under 200,000 miles and new shocks.
STILL bottoms out! I didn't get a chance to take it to the dealer yet, but is it safe to assume I need springs?
This was my fatherinlaws car who just passed it on to me, as he can no longer drive. He said the thump does not hurt anything, but it is horrible. He also says he had shocks put on recently. He is 84, not well and I don't want to push it with him.....I'll need to learn on my own what this car needs. I'm not sure of the mileage but it is "low", according to him.
I'm not completely new to diesels, I had an 83 300D years ago and loved it. I also had a 1984 grey market sedan with a gas 4 cyl and 5 speed and it was a fast and high spirited car! I should never have sold that one!
