Remove Break Caliper Rust, Paint Caliper
These are all you need ($10):
(1) Wire brush
(2) Rust dissolver
(3) Soft paint brush
(4) High temp paint
Very easy, you don't even have to unmount the rims, just:
- Wire brush the calipers
- Then apply the rust dissolver and let it sit
- Wash the calipers, wire brush, then wash again
- Paint the calipers thinly with soft paint brush
- Let dry
I did it 5 months ago, now the calipers still look good. Check this out: (the brown stain is break dust, not rust)

depends on the weather
the naval jelly is a good idea but, a G2 caliper painting kit would be much better than the VHT spray bomb you chose to use and it will last alot longer ....

I agree Luke, I used hi-temp paint on my Saleen back in the day and used the g2 kit on my CLK's rear brakes and the g2 kit's results were MUCH better. The G2 paint is much thicker than the spray and results in a much smoother and glossier finish. Well worth the extra money IMO
