Repair quote for mechanics to compare prices?
Hi,
My Brake light goes on when I touch the brake. I have to take it in.
It's an 83 240D. It also needs an oil change.
I do not have a mechanic in the Bay Area. But I've got a list of around
4 that are supposed to know their stuff. I'm trying to get an idea of
prices. I thought I'd call all of them and ask how much they charge for
a certain, repair, maybe that will give me an idea of their prices compared
to each other. Any suggestions Of a repair that I could get a quote for?
Also, I understand getting brake pads, if necessary, But what Are rotors,
I'm read that these often need to be replaced as well....what are they and
why/when do they need to be replaced..thanks much
