Can any car enthusiast forget the sexy, svelte lines of the awesome BMW M3 coupe of the 1990s? From the aggressive flared fenders to the low-slung, wide stance, the M3 had little equal in its prime. Taking things a step further was the E36 Dakar Yellow M3, a masterpiece of automotive engineering that was as jaw-dropping to look at as it was to drive. Considered a classic icon for its era, the E36 boasted stunning yellow and black accents that were practically screaming for an appropriately sexy accessory – and the Rennen CSL 2 Mesh step lip wheel is that perfect match.
Finished in a dark matte gunmetal and sporting a gorgeous deep gloss black step lip, this two-tone rim was formed from a monoblock wheel which was then wrapped with a gloss black stainless steel lip. Rennen designers went further with details including matte black rivets that truly set off this two-piece design, while, as with its one-piece designs, the company made sure every offset and bolt pattern was crafted to order for a seamless fitment. The crowd-stopping BMW E36 Dakar Yellow M3 wears 19 x 8.5 CSL 2’s up front wrapped with 225/35/19 sized rubber while a staggered setup consisting of 19 x 9.5 CSL 2’s with 265/30/19 sized rubber dresses the back end, yielding that wide, aggressive stance that totally complements this unique sports machine. To say that this car drives as well as it looks is practically an understatement.
