Under performing tires?
I just bought a 2014 Mercedez E350 4 matic with 5500 miles on it. I previously owned a 2010 E350 4matic which I drove for 4 years. The new car came with Bridgestone Turenza EL 400 -2 tires and they are okay for gentle turns etc but when the road gets real twisty the handling feels mushy, kind of like the tires are rolling over and you have to correct the steering. My old car with Conti Procontact tires didn't do this. Does this sound like a tire issue? I wasn't thrilled with the tires to begin with because they are MOextended which I understand to be a run flat technology. I told the dealer I wouldn't own a car with rtf and they swore they weren't. I lost that fight mainly because Bridgestone doesn't mention anything about MOextended tires on their web site.
Since it seems like I'm on my own if I want to replace the tires I want to be sure I'm on the right track before shelling out for a set of Contis.
