Does anyone know the wheel specifications (diameter, width, offset) for the 2002 ML500?

Do the fender wells require any modification, or does camber require adjust to fit the larger AMG wheel size?

So GOD <snicker> you wouldn't be referring to behavior you've seen on other forums, would you?

Meanwhile, the EBC pads did *not* remedy the brake squeal. In fact, it is now non-stop. I will say, however, that pedal feel and braking were vastly improved over OEM. After scouring through this forum though, it would seem that brake squeal is an inherent problem with the M-Class MB.

Personally, I think an oganic or ceramic pad might offer better results. If I am not mistaken, the EBC pad is semi-metallic? Wouldn't this exacerbate the problem?

Prior to my account here being mysteriously deleted someone had suggested to me in PM that he fabbed a piece of metal as a pad shim that eliminated this noise completely. But, as I mentioned, my earlier account was deleted along with the PM suggestion

How is MB going to fix it? MB says that all their cars do that. They actually had the nerve to tell me it was the way I drive my car! Keep in mind that the car is almost 2 years old and only has 12k miles on it. The car has *definitely* been pampered. What I find so mysterious is that none of my Nissans do this. Needless to say, my "Experience of Ownership" (as it so boldly stated on my MB welcome pack) has not been the greatest.

Meanwhile, I will install *the* filter for this more civilized forum so that others too may enjoy the experience. I only wish MB would OWN up to the problem.
