hi there guys, i own a 2005 sl500 v8 5ltr, currently on stock wheels which i believe are 8.5 et35, im looking to upgrading my wheels to a set from an e550 i believe with the follow spec, they are 8.0 et45 and 8.5 et48, would these be safe to run on my car and would they clear the breaks ok?
I can't remember what my original wheel sizes were however 8.5" for the rear is very narrow. The stock tyres are 285mm on the back which would need at least a 9.5" wheel. The front should be fine. Sorry not sure on the offsets.
Very unlikely that the standards are 8.5" rear as the max tire size would be 265mm or 275mm at a big push.
Sorry I can't recommend anything in that price range. I would look for some genuine sl r230 wheels on ebay that someone has replaced. A lot of people have upgraded their 18" and 19" wheels.
