Steering wheel shakes and driving me crazy.....
Tires are new. Alignment done. Road force balance done. Wheels are not bent. 60K miles on car.
The steering shake happens less on very smooth pavement. Flat but slightly irregular road surface exacerbates it and so does hitting a bump. After hitting a bump it may take awhile for steering to settle down.
I've noticed the problem when hitting bump on driver's side front. I haven't tried hitting a bump with right front tire to see if effect is same.
Any thoughts as to what the gremlin could be before I take car to shop?
