How to Remove Brake Calipers '05 W211

I'm overhauling the front suspension on my '05 W211 (E320) Sedan (standard suspension) and I need to get the calipers out of the way.

Is removing the caliper from the rotor as simple as unplugging the SBC (not opening doors, etc.), disconnecting the brake/wheel sensors, and unbolting the two (18mm) bolts that hold the caliper in place?

I've seen a lot of DIY posts for replacing pads and rotors but I don't need to all of that. I just need to move the calipers while I work and am looking for the safest way to get it done.

Thanks.
