Lug bolt issues

Well, I had put some rims on my c230. 18 x 7.5 in the front with a 35mm offset and 18 x 8.5 with a 38mm offset in the rear. For the rear I had to use new bolts because the old ones were too long. So just today I went today to take the car back to the tire shop to ask them to check the wheel balance because the car was shaking a little bit and the lug bolts in the front had a hard time coming out. I could see very little amounts of shaving of metal in the holes. Initially, when I had first put the lug nuts in...they went in prety easily. The guy told me to buy new lug bolts, but didn't explain exactly why. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

The only thing different between the new lug nuts and the old ones is that the old lug nuts have a U shape as the head , then comes the threads from the U shaped head. The new ones have more of a V shaped as the head with threads coming down from the V shape. I hope this makes sense.

depends on the weather
what you are describing is very simple

OE Mercedes lug bolts have a ball seat and a vast majority of after market wheel use a conical seat .... you used ball seat lug bolts on a cone seat wheel from you desription

If your aftermarket wheels use a conical seats make sure you put 5 Mercedes ball seat lugs in your truck for your spare.
