My 2004 CLK 500 has some verbage on the fuel door label in small print that says in english and German..."use only Michelin" and the word Michelin is bolded. BTW my car came with Pirelli's.

I checked with another CLK 500 owner on this forum and he also has the same thing and his car too came with Pirelli's. I asked someone on the W211(new e-class forum) to check his e500 and sl500 and there is no mention of this.

My C class says "Use only Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Goodyear, Michelin or Pirelli."
