Question Intentional Tire Slash? Drivable?

I was wondering if someone intentionally wanted to slash your tires. Could they do it where you could drive for a certain amount of miles before they would pop? I know someone who was involved in an accident, and the tires had some weird sidewall damage to them. The tires were only a few weeks old.

if your sidewalls are slashed, i would change tires ASAP. especially if you're driving on the freeway, you're risking a blowout. there is NO WAY to tell when the tires will pop, it's all about physics at that point. If you're willing to risk your own life to save a few bucks, be my guest, but please don't put my friends and family's lives in danger because your friend is thrifty. (In other words, buy new tires)

Yea, I know. The tires went flat after about 5 miles.
