18s or 19s any performance difference for CLK 320?

I want to know if putting in 19s cause any performance issues for a 320 CLK compared to 18s?

I am running 19s on my CLK 430 they look beautiful and I recomended those to my brother (who just got a CLK 320 w208).
But he thinks it would have a bad impact on the acceleration of his car and wants to go for 18s.

My question is if the outer diameter and the thickness of the tires are the same there shouldn't be any difference between 18s and 19s (You would get 35 series rubber for 19s instead of getting 40 series for 18s)

I am I right?

depends on the weather
it depends on the weight of the wheels ... most 19's will hurt a cars performance because they are heavier
