I'm wondering if there is any trick to taking these apart for chroming. I plan to remove the tires, number imprint the rims and centers for reassembly, then send them to PLATE CORP in Orange, CA. They want $136 apiece to do the job but they won't do the disassembly themselves and Globe Tire wants $200 to disassemble the set. I just can't see that. I've got the right socket to fit the bolts (triple square) but I don't have the torque specs for them on assembly. Any help?
