'01 E320 Tire/Wheel Size Recommendations...

I am looking for tire and wheel size recommendations for a totally stock 2001 E320. I am looking to improve the appearance without greatly sacrificing ride level and noise levels and do not want to modify the vehicle in any way.

if you decide to get large rims , ie, 18" or 19" , and decide NOT to lower your car, your car will look like a 4X4.

Thanks for the reply clkal; I wanted to go to 18"s but I don't want it to look like the chassis is in the air!

Guess I'll have to stay with the 17"s I have been looking at as I don't want to modify the vehicle at all...

2007 E350/2001 SLK320

I have been looking for a set of stock 02 wheels for my 01 E320. A friend said the stock 02 wheel is a bit sportier than the 01 wheel which looks like a wheelcover, and 1 inch larger. I too am not interested in changing my cars ride, nor rolling fenders As a female I do have a E class wish look, but it borders more on headlight changes, and a MCS.

If anyone has a stock set of 02 wheels I will make you an offer, if you would like to donate them because they are cluttering your garage - I will of course pay shipping. The wheels I am talking about are a bit sportier than the wheels on the 01 which are a 16.
