Yes they are 19's... You should see how small the 18's looked. I actually asked for smaller lips at first becuase I think big lips looks too ghetto... Harris laughed at me.

In many cases people with highline cars order these crazy rims and end up with a look that they didn't expect.

The lips however are normal with the size and offset of the wheels.

Pictures really don't show the beauty of the rims. I find that most of the time wheels look a lot better in person that in pictures.

Now I just need to drop the ABC suspension about 3/4" ..

Yes, lower it more. The current height makes the wheels look too small. Personally, I would prefer the 540R series. Maybe because I prefer sportier looking wheel. The 840R series look too subtle but I guess the W215 should be matched with the more subtle wheel, afterall, its the most luxurious coupe in the entire MB lineup.

Thumbs up

Awesome wheels!!!
I've been through two sets of HREs on my Volvo, and I love them!

Any reason you decided not to get the alum. etched center dome caps?

840 series are definitely HRE's top of line rims.

Here is mine...

Hehe...thanks.
The performance side is almost stock, not going to do anything too crazy on this Volvo this time around.
It only has IPD ECU, IPD 3 inch downpipe & race cat, and IPD catback exhaust.http://www.swedespeed.com/resources/...60r_index.html

I have to have something to look forward too. LOL.

I figured I would start with the normal Black/Silver caps and in time if I wanted I would get the etched caps.

Personally I prefer the regular caps over the domed etched ones because at least the HRE logo is visible. It's practically invisible on the etched one.

If you had gotten it with black centers then I'd tell you to go for the etched ceramic dome cap for sure (for black wheels). With those at least you will see the logo like the regular caps, except the black and white are reversed.

Less visible more subtle look?

As if any HRE wheel has any subtleness it it.
Just a personal preference for the more "unity look" instead of OBVIOUS center cap logo I guess.
BTW, if anyone wants those caps, I have a set of the blue/silver ones, and two sets of those black/silver ones.

Some of the pics I sent you were after it was at the lowest setting. Unfortunately, with the angle of the pictures the tires tend to blend into the black inner wheel well which creates the appearance of a larger gap than what it really is.

The picture above where the car is parked in front of the slope with wild flowers is about what the normal gap is while stopped.

I may look into lowering it about 3/4 - 1" ..

This picture below is an adequate representation of the stock ride height while stopped. keep in mind that once the car is moving over 65mph the ABC suspension lowers another 1/2". So you have to be very careful when lowering an ABC equipped vehicle. With the offset of these wheels and the tires used, they really would not 'tuck' into the fenders very well, as a matter of fact the outside edge of the tire may rub the rolled fender in the front and rear. It would be very, very tight if I were to lower it anymore than 3/4 -1".

After lowering an S class and a SL, trust me heh.. you can drop it even lower than 1" without a problem.. what will happen is that you'll have negative camber when you drop it and your tires won't touch the fender.

Very nice! Yeah another inch would look alot better; not slammed so they're tucked but just enough to remove the gap.
