lowered suspension ... unsettled at high speeds

was just wondering ... if a lowered car with uprated shocks, at speeds over 80 mph, feels unsettled when encountering unusual highway bumps and undulations... even tho the tires don't lose contact, the car just feels like it's tossed around (not floaty btw) a bit... is it because there isn't enough suspension travel or is it not enough compression/rebound control on the shocks?

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
i would have to go with not enough compression...what car, shocks, springs?

it's for my volvo...got bilstein hd (which, unlike the sport that are not available for my car, cannot be revalved by bilstein) and some swedish springs that are about 10~20% stiffer

depends on the weather
it's because there is not enough rebound valving in the shocks to control the spring oscillation

doesn't a low rebound give a floaty ride like those old caddi boats? what about being too hard/harsh on bumpy roads at low speeds (<25 mph)?

higher rebound will give you more stability ...... lower rebound along with low compression gives that floating feeling ... high compression makes for a stiff ride

My experience with my Eibachs and Bil sports are the opposite. The ride is "choppier" with more road bump transmitted at lower speeds. City/Town driving yeilds more bumps and thumps, but once you hit the highway/expressway and get up over 40 mph, the suspension handles road transitions, patches and other irregularities extremely well.
