22 Tires for an 11 GL350
Hi all
I am wanting to know if anyone has any feed back on using 275/45R22 or a 285/45R22 on a 2011 GL chassis? I am needing to replace my tires on truck and like to go to Michelin Defender LTX M/S type tire which is a more long last smoother quieter ride. I am not interested in a ZR or etc rating I am more interested in wear and comfort.
According to my calculations the 275/45R22 is 2.98% taller than the OEM 275/50R22 but has a load rating of 112V vs the OEM of 109 and the 285/45R22 is 4.13% larger with a load rating of 114H. I could in theory also go with a 265/40R22 but it has a load rating of 106V but smaller by 1.56%. My wheels are 22x9" so I don't think I can use a 305 wide tire which I have seen others run.
