Tire valves

The heading tells you where this is going. About 10 days ago I got a TPMS msg that the driver's side rear tire was at 34 with all others at 38. The tires were hot from highway driving in Houston heat. Stopped at Clear Lake MB and a nice young man filled it for me. Underway today in heavy rain the tpms said the same tire was at 34 while the others were at 36. I am staying at my brother's house and he has a cool Ryobi hand held battery operated air pump. So I brought the tire up a few pounds. I asked my brother if he had valve tool which he did. Guess what? I was able to tighten that valve and 2 others a half turn each. Is that the cause of the slow leak? We'll find out.
