95 c280 rubbing help!!
My specs are:
1995 C280
Springs: H&R (1.25 front & back lowering)
Spring pad: #3
Shocks: Bilstein Sports
Wheels: 17x7 (not sure, but told max tire width is 225)
Offset: +35mm
Tires: 225/45-17
The car is quite low. The tires barely clear the fenders, and rub whenever I hit a bump in a turn.![wall](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/banghead.gif)
What can I do to stop the rubbing?
Did I get the wrong offset? How much will +37mm offset help or change??
I use the stock wheels (15") for winter tires, and they sometimes rub, but rarely.
Thanks for any suggestions!!!!!

i don't want more negative camber, because my tires are wearing on the inside badly. I'm getting an alignment done tomorrow to try to correctly that problem.
Rolling fenders the only way?? Thanks

the c36 had it's front fendered enlarged to fit 225-45-17 tires... my friend used to have a 95 c280 with amg rims 17x7.5 all-around...his dunlop sp8000 rubbed on full lock up front...not lowered..

hmm...
The shop that I bring to suggest I get a set of 225/40/17 next time.
Will that be to harsh on the ride??
Is it a good idea to get undersized tires/wheels....although not too much smaller??
Thanks

the only tire in that 225-40-17 size are the nitto nt555 extreme...at least...the only ones i could find online...there may be others...
225-45-17 is a direct size replacement...but as u said, it rubs. 225-40-17 will create a slightly faster speedometer than actual speed (60 mph on speedometer, 57.9 mph in reality)...it's not that big a deal.. there are online tire size calculators...
u may be better off with 215-45-17. there are a lot more choices with that size. and since u said ur rims are 7" width...that is probably a better size tire to fit on it...
