Metal cap on hub...
On a 2001 C240, when i take off the FRONT rim, there is a Metal cap on the hub. Can that cap be taken off? Just curious.

depends on the weather
it's a dust cap protecting the bearing ... leave it alone

What kind of bearing is in the hub? That's the first time i have heard of such a thing. If the front has one why not the rear.
