Best Tires for Heavily Rutted Roads

I'm on assignment in the Toronto Canada area and find these roads (highway and side roads) are heavily rutted. If you don't have both hands on the wheel you can find yourself being suddenly pulled to port or starboard into the next lane (soiled undies). I'm currently running with Pilots but would consider a touring tire since there are no corners in the area that are not at traffic lights. Any recommendations other than moving or buying a Towncar???

yeah, buy an SUV

j/k, but if you are using performance tires that are wider than stock, that may make it worse, so if thats the case, go back to stock!!
