2004 E320 4matic, 2007 530xiT
How do they decide which tire your car comes with?
My 2004 E320 4matic came with Bridgestone. Is the tire you get with your car a random event?

Yup. Tire manufacturers have deals with car makers. And a car maker can have more than one tire suppliers. It mainly depends on the build date and the factory that the car is made from.

Engineers "decide" proper tire configurations. No guessing or intuition. Engineering. Tire manufacturer is politics.
