Airmatic Compressor Help
I sure hope this doesn't double post but I've waited about an hour and I can't see my original.
I have a 2011 GL 450
Car is sitting in a low position but not a "lowrider". The malfunction warning indicator with the arrow does come on. The compressor will kick on when you start the car and keep running for a long period. It is very loud and sounds sick. It will eventually shut off. If you press the "raise position" button it will just flash. I no longer hear air being released from the shocks when parking.
I bought the car about 6 months ago and they told me they had replaced the air shocks when they received the car. It sounds like a compressor issue to me and it looks pretty easy to replace. I just need help troubleshooting/diagnosing to make sure that is my problem. I pulled the fuse to the compressor for now. Thanks for any help.
