DIY curb rash?
Good evening
I am thinking about tackling the project on my own...
Any insight? is this worth the money savings? I have a 3 inch sanding kit that I was thinking about using.
Otherwise i guess I take them to a shop and drop $500 or so.

I'm in same boat, but won't do myself, but it isn't THAT HARD. I'm sure the PROS have the tools to do a better job. My place Powder Coats their Rims. They used to Paint. I have a little curb rash on the front right from 2 days ago, never happened on this car before. It's not THAT BAD! But I plan to get it done, and may do ALL of them.
They strip off paint when they do it, SO to inspire confidence, TRY IT! If you jack it up, let them do it. I think if you sand any areas, worst case BONDO and larger chips (that is what I saw people doing when I researched) then spray paint, I doubt anyone would know from 5 feet away, or it could come out great? I am just going to do the $500 route, or at minimum fix the 1 wheel I damaged. good Luck
