Air Suspension Valve Block Solenoids

Hi guys,
FYI, I'm working on a project to re-use the valve block in another suspension project, but need some info about the ECU solenoid drive voltages. It's very likely this will be the same for all Merc with air suspension.

Does anyone know if the ECU uses simple 12V on-off, or if there is a more complex "Hit & Hold" waveform from the ECU like the attached diagram. The reason i need to know is some solenoids are happy with 12V, but others overheat 7 burn out. The hit & hold waveform avoids overheating of the coil.

Unfortunately I dont have a car to measure, only the Valve Block & Pump. (both of which I'm refurbishing)
