Luke - Tire life: Pilot Sport vs. S-03 Pole Position ??
Luke:
If on my front tires Michelin Pilot Sport 225/45/17 the tire life is 15,000 miles.
1. What would it be - under same driving conditions/habits - for the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 your #1 recommendation?
2. Which Michelin, Bridgestone or Pirelli tire would provide at least 30,000 miles of tire life?

less of a performance tire...a harder compound will give you more miles...longer life.

That new Dunlop FM901 seems less of a tire than the Sp Sport 9000. The 9000 has a tread wear rating of 280 and the new FM901 is only 200.

According to the Tirerack website, both the Pilots and S03's carry a treadwear rating of 220 so I would say they are fairly close to each other in wear duration. But I think this rating has a lot to do on what type of car the tire is on, size of wheels, as well as how one drives their car on a daily basis.
