Shock and Strut question
Hi all i'm currently having issue front strut shock issues and these need to to be replace. My make c300 rwd sport pkg 2010. I went to MB dealer near by they gave me a quote for parts which is ridiculously expensive . They provided parts 204-323-09-00 (left shock) ; 204-323-10-00 (right shock).
I will head to my local used part store and trying to find there but on the mean time i was surfing around on eBay I couldn't find any shock strut that matched with above part number provided by MB dealer, but there are plenty struts that states would have compatible with my car !?
My question does this relevant at all does my car need to be replaced with the specific parts "number" that would have been other wise can be replaced with something readily available at my dispose.

I had a leaking rear shock and a shop quoted like 1600, the car was still under warranty so clearly west to dealer.
not much help to you other than they are expensive or shops like to rip us off too
