Luke Help: Effects of Different Tire Size

My wheels are AMG 5 Spoke 220 - 18 x 8.5 Front & 18 x 9.5 Rear. Recommended sizes are 245/45 Front and 275/40 Rear.

I am currently running Pirelli P-Zero Rosso 245/40/18 Fronts and ContiSportContact2 265/35/18 Rears.

What effects, if any, are there for me running these sizes long term. I'm changing the rears soon, should I change back to the recommended size? I was thinking of either the same size, 275/35 or the recommended size.

The fronts are new... damn expensive so i'd rather not change if possible..

So.. what negative effects are there for running these sizes?

Thanks..

depends on the weather
let me see .... problems running tires that are too short

speedo error
odometer reading high mileage
larger fender gap
less ground clearance
lack of proper load capacity (which could lead to catostrophic tire failure )
