17" or 18", rotating tires, AMG or ADR rims, HELP !!

I read your "Tire Rack FAQ Thread" and it was very informative. I have a question with regards to the wider rims in back than in front.

My car is a 2005 C230 Sport sedan, so it has 7.5J x 17 front, 8.5J x 17 rear and 225/45 ZR17 front, 245/40 Z17 rear tires. When it comes to rotating I can't move the back one forward and vice versa. How do I rotate ?

I'm interested in either :

1- Buying 17" chrome rims and using the factory tires

or

2- Buying a complete 18" set (don't want to go to 19" because the roads here are not good at all and I've had my share of bent rims for many years)

I was thinking about 18 x 8" rims with 225/45 or 245/45 tires ALL AROUND !

What do you recommend ? I want them to look nice but don't need the thin tire not protecting my rims in a pothole.

Finally I can't find any ADR wheels on your website. Do you carry them ? If not, why ?

I like the MB OEM rim that the C55 AMG uses but since it's so expensive I'd rather buy the 18" ADR Sterling 18 x 8 " (picture attached). I've seen them for about Silver $155 & Chrome $205 and they look more or less in the same ballpark, but I like the fat lip & no screws to bother while cleaning.

depends on the weather
#1.) you do not rotate them
#2.) 18x8's would require 225/40-18
#2a) to stagger the tires you would need to stagger the wheels and use 255/35-18 in the rear
#3.) we do not carry the ADR wheels
#3a) quality issues and wacky dealer agreements
#4.) CL wheels do not fit C-class cars

If I keep my factory tires and just buy new same size 17" chrome rims, do I have to buy the staggared rims sizes or can I buy middle of the road 17 x 8 rims for all 4 tires ?

Would it make it handle diferent due to the diferent tires sizes in front and back ?

Would it look strange due to the diferent tires sizes in front and back ? Would it be noticeable ?

depends on the weather
if you have staggered tires on non-staggered wheels the differences in sidewall deflection rates actually decreases the cars handling ability .....
