Unhappy Hydraulic dampers

I have a 1979 280TE (w123) and I am in the process of installing new hydraulic rear dampers. I have original Mercedes (Sachs) dampers and have installed them but I can't figure out how to (if at all neccessary) bleed all the air out of the system. It seems to go up as norm when the engine is cranked up but appears to be running a bit lower than before.
