E500 Sport wheels on 03 E320 - Speedo Change
Hi guys,
Was speaking with someone at the tire rack ordering wheels for another car... Basically I mentioned that I swapped out my stock 16" e320 wheels for e500 sport wheels I purchased here from another member. The overall diameter is actually slightly smaller than the stock 16" wheels...
Is there a way to correct the speedo? He mentioned they could download special software into the speedo? Can someone please help me? What do I tell my benz dealer without him thinking I am a nut?

If you have the correct tire height with less than a 3% error then no problem. Same year or chassis E320 and E500 have the same speedo - Mercedes does not change the speedo for 16 or 17 or 18 inch wheels & tires from the factory because the height is within the margin or error.
When you say "slightly smaller than the stock" what does that mean? Next time provide all the size information so your question can be answered for sure.
