Acoustic foam - is it included in the dB rating?
I'm starting to look for winter tires for my GLE. I currently have Pirellis with acoustic foam (PNCS) and I'm very happy with their low noise levels.
Does anyone know if the dB rating of a tire takes into account the acoustic foam, or is it a different kind of noise that's not rated?
What I mean is - will a tire that has a rating of 69 dB be as quiet as another one with also 69 dB but with acoustic foam inside?
