Tire Insurance
Own a 2020 GLE 350. Bought tire protection insurance. Got two nails in tire. Husband brought to dealership and they patched tire instead of replace. Sure enough, a week later patch failed and tire flat.
I feel with a 75k car, the dealership should have immediately replaced the tire. This is not a flipping KIA.
Has anyone else had this experience?

How was the repair done? Were plugs pushed into the nail holes, or were seals applied on the inside? Either way, it sounds like shoddy workmanship done by a dweeb doing it for the first time. Dealerships struggle to make MB specific repairs, and IMO are not adequately trained to do specialty repairs like tires, windshields and brakes. A tire shop such as Discount Tire will tell you if the tire is repairable and will do a quality job. Most DT shops do more tire business in one day than a dealership does in a year. DT sells tire insurance on OE tires also.
