205's or 225's ?
I want to replace my tires with Bridgestone Turanza. I can use either 205.55.16 or 225.50.16 on my wheels. Car came with 205's
Can someone tell me the + and - on the different widths. I already understand the price difference.
Logic says more tread equates to more noise. Is this true?

Noise is mostly caused by tread design, basic tire design, etc.
If you're running 205's right now, you may want to try 215/55/16.
Lots of choices.

I was told that 215 55 16 is actually a slightly different diam than the 205 55 16 or its match 225 50 16 and that the spedo would be off a few % also does it not create a bit taller sidewall?
