Swapping out a staggered AMG wheel setup for a square winter wheel setup... issues?
I'm looking to pick up some winter wheels and tires in the off-season. I've found a set sized for a GLS, and I'd like to confirm that they'll work on my 2021 GLE 63 S.
OEM wheel sizes:
The resulting changes in wheel position would be:
Fortunately the winter tire sizes will make almost zero impact on the speedometer. So, while I fully expect the tucked wheels to look silly, this should work, correct?
OEM wheel sizes:
- Front - 10x22 with 55mm offset
- Rear - 11.5x22 with 53mm offset
- 8.5x20 with 62mm offset
The resulting changes in wheel position would be:
- Front - 12mm more inner clearance with the face of the wheel retracted 26mm
- Rear - 29mm more inner clearance with the face of the wheel retracted 47mm
Fortunately the winter tire sizes will make almost zero impact on the speedometer. So, while I fully expect the tucked wheels to look silly, this should work, correct?
