Do any of you guys know what OEM AMG rims would fit on an R129 (particularly a 97 SL600)? I have been told a few different things and am confused. My stock rim offset is 34, so would any rims with a 34 offset be okay to toss on there?

I was going to get the AMG rims that came on the CLK, some told me they will fit fine other say they won't. I know some rims off the R230 SL can fit the R129. I am sooo lost.

Some rims that I have in mine are the 19" thin 5 spoke AMG's off the New CL.

I am also trying to stay away from spacers, I've been told they are bad, can some one elaborate on that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

the CLK wheels will fit a R129 but, the W230 and W215 wheels you mentioned are not interchangable with your 129....

thanks for the help luke, now I got another question.

I'm trying to avoid 17's just because they are pretty small for my car.

There are other R230 rims, the thin 5 spoke AMG's in 18's with a 30 and 33 offset. How would these fit on an R129? I've been told that they will fit with different lug bolts, can you verify this?

Thanks.
