2023 GLS 63 AMG
Question Purchased new GLS 63 AMG and need smaller wheels for winter

I still need to post an introduction thread but the main reason I am here is to help get some more knowledge on these vehicles. My father-in-law just purchased a 2023 Mercedes GLS 63 AMG with 23" wheels and of course, they do not make winter tires and it is a must here in MN. He previously had a 2021 GLS 63 AMG with the 22" wheels and we have his old winter tires off them still so I am in the market just for the 22" wheels. Does anyone know the stock wheel specs for the front and back? I have received mixed information but the following is what I have come to believe is the stock wheel specs:

22 x 9.5 5-112 ET 32
22 x 10.5 5-112 ET 43

I was looking at possibly purchasing these for his winter setup but wasn't sure if they would be a good fit.

Also, I am open to any vendor recommendations. We don't need expensive wheels since this is going to be just a winter set.

Thank you in advance!

Price, selection and availability of snow tires in 22" are not great. If you haven't yet bought them, ask your tire dealer about a 20" setup for winter. The extra inch of sidewall buys a bit more pothole insurance.

Same issue here, Live in MN, Purchased 2023 GLS 63 with 22" wheels. Upgrading from the 2021 GLS 450. Tire shop said I could use my old blizzaks 275/50 R20 on new wheels, however they would technically fit, they advised that the weight of the car and the load of the tire could be unsafe. @MedCityAMG WHAT DID YOU END UP DOING?

I feel I might have to look for a new cheap winter/tire package that can handle the load. Is anyone running a 20" or 21" setup, either squared or staggered combination that works well? Anyone know of a 20" tire that can handle the load?

Worst case I can get 22" Scorpions staggered to fit the stock rims, but for $3k, I'd rather opt for a better winter setup.

Thanks for any help!
