Workshop mode problem for rear brake change

When I get in workshop mode I get a message when I press brake pad change…”conditions not met” try again basically. I’ve tried getting out of vehicle…locking doors and then starting over only to get the same message. Any suggestions?

Is the key/keyless button in position 1 or position 2?

yried it both ways and only position 1 (1 push of start button) allows me to get into workshop mode.

You could try disengaging the parking brake not sure if it was a prerequisite but worth trying.
