W211 Sport package 18" wheels on a W212 4-matic

I am considering purchasing a set of A211 401 51 02 wheels for my W212 since i saw someone rocking them on a w212 some time ago and i honestly loved how they look. What worries me is not fitment necessarily since i know they fit, my worries are related to the 4-matic. His car was RWD only so he was using 245/40/R18 in the front where the wheel is 8,5J and 265/35/R18 in the rear where they are 9J. Now with some quick use of a calculator online it seems they have a difference in circumference which is death more or less for any 4 wheel drive car. Has anyone here experimented with wheel and tyre sizes? I am considering putting 255/40/R18 all around but am somewhat worried about clearances with the taller tyre and most of all i am worried that the tyre might bulge on the front where the wheel is thinner or be stretched on the rear. Might be a silly question but i always used the tyre size that the car came with from the factory so it is a first for me.

You're right to be cautious about fitment and tire sizes, especially with a 4MATIC system. The difference in circumference can lead to issues with your drivetrain. Using 255/40/R18 all around is a good idea as it should provide a more uniform circumference. Just make sure to check the clearances in your wheel wells before making the switch since the taller tire might affect that. As for the bulging or stretching, 255 on an 8.5J wheel should fit fine, but it might look slightly stretched on the 9J. It’s always best to consult with a tire professional or your dealership to ensure the best fit for your specific setup.
