Need help with my wheels 2017 GLS63 AMG

I have a 2017 GLS63 AMG that I love but I've been having issues lately with the rims cracking. It has 22" wheels on it now, but I've been told that the cracking issues I'm having is because the large wheels have a small profile tire that doesn't give enough cushion. I have someone that has been able to repair them whenever they've cracked thus far, but it's been happening more frequently and on all of the wheels. I don't want to deal with it anymore. My wife took it on a short, 8 hour, trip last month and it happened to crack along her drive so that the tire was losing air quickly when she got there. Luckily, I was able to find someone that could repair it where she went and she got back fine but it's not a good feeling to not be with her when that happens. I would love to go with a smaller rim size but I've talked to a few different dealers that told me there's no way to know if the wheels I get will fit without actually trying them on because of the large brake/rotors on the AMG.

Does anyone have any experience with this and could help me find something? I would love to NOT have to get OEM wheels as I don't want to spend a crazy amount on them. I found some online that say they would fit my car but they are Type 166 while mine are Type 292. I don't have any clue what that all means. I just want something I won't have to worry about.
