Tire +1 Upsize question

I have a 97 C280 with 195/65/15 tires that need to be replaced.

I was going to go with 215/60/15 (0.7% slow) but the rep at Belle Tire said that might rub and recommended 205/60/15 (1.2% fast).

Any ideas?
Also, will there be any problems fitting either tire on the stock 15" rim (tire too wide)?

Thanks

Hassan

Which one do you recommend then?

I will be driving the car all year, dry/wet/snow.

Would it be better with a narrower tire for snow traction?

Generally speaking; a narrower tire of the same brand and type is better for snow traction. Now, if you decide to switch brands and/or types all bets are off: i.e summer, all season, winter dedicated types.
