Here is a classic
There were many many that complained about their Max summer tires lasting only 15,000 miles.
These people should be made to drive on tires with treadwear ratings of 600!
I don't know the max treadwear ratings, but I had one car this the Michelin Symetry tires, like riding on ball bearings. I got rid of those right away!
Audi S4 w/Eagle F1 GS-D3
These tires are excellent on dry roads and good on wet roads. However, they are DANGEROUS on snow. They cannot be used safely as all season tires in snowy areas.
no kidding they are maximum performance summer only tires
2000 ECHO Coupe w/Avon Tech M500
Ive been so happy with my purchase of the Tech M500s. I debated a while as to if I should get the es100s or the m500s but in the end I decided on the M500s. They cost just a little bit more, but I think theyve been worth it. Over 2000 miles on the tires and they still look new. Hardly any wear on them at all. My Echo sticks like glue to the road. I routinly see .8-1.0 lateral gs roll by on my G-Tech unit and the tires dont make a peep. Just grip grip grip Ive yet to have they break loose. The tires are virtually silent on the freeway at speed, and I was surprised at how well they perform in the rain. The only hairy situation Ive ever had is when I hit a rather large standing puddle at about 65 and had the wheel pull over. But that could be expected from any tire when your car only weighs 2100 lbs. I cannot praise these tires enough. If you want bang for your buck. These are the tires for you!
.8 - 1.0 lateral g's in an Echo  .... think you need to get the g-tech recalibrated
1997 Neon Coupe w/Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22
chose spirited cause there wasnt anything above it, i thrash my car, these tires have preformed more than admirably. They are really worlds better than that crap that came with my neon; (goodyear eagle rs-as, more like rs-crap- (it seems that goodyear was more interested in minimizing sound levels and cost of maufacturing than the mquality of thier product). The tires feel a little soft in corners and a little sluggish upon turn in but hey its a snow tire not a racing tire and thats just how it goes. Steering response and dry traction is decent although dry traction isnt what youd call awesome(respectable for a snow tire, and still night and day compard to the aforementioned). Traction on gravel, dirt, and snow is amazing definately a plus because i drive on dirt roads every day. With these tires i drive on ice with no fear whatsoever. I must comment that the tires are a tad on the noisy side could just be the neons lack of acoustic insulation, but some people may find it annoying on long drives. I feel that i more than got my moneys worth.
it's a Neon ... thrash away we need less of those on the road IMHO
2001 Maxima SE 20th Ann. w/Bridgestone Potenza RE92
The award for most garbage tire on the market!!
I think this guy has issues with OE tires
2001 Neon w/Bridgestone Potenza RE92
Before my review, I would like you to know that I personally own a set of RE92s and have driven many cars equipped with them on various surfaces including wet and dry pavement, gravel, dirt roads, and muddy trails. I have done donuts on these tires, I have have done handbrake turns on these tires. I have had them screaming in the turns like there was no tomarrow... I have even been in a car accident that could be blamed on these tires. Qualified, I am. The RE92 is marketed as a performance tire and sold on performance vehicels. Now I have no PhD in phraseology, but I understand the use of words like high performance as an indication that a described product will perform highly or at least higher that its counterparts. Thus is not the case with the RE92! I would like to come up with nicer way of describing the performance of this tire to you, my readers, but as hard as I try... this is what you get. The RE92 is crap! I have driven many other tires in its class made by manufaturers such as Kumho, BFGoodrich, Goodyear, and Michellin. I understant that the performance of a tire is all realitive, but in comparisson to a Srixon4, the RE92 has poor traction and stability in the dry, poor resistance to hydroplain in the wet, and poor flat out grip in the loose stuff. I would not recomend this tire to my worst enemy! Im not really sure where I am going with this random off-beat rambling, but for your own benefit, please avoid the Bridgestone Potenza RE92 at all cost! If they came on your car new, get rid of them! A good friend of mine chose to put brand new tires from a differant manufacture onto his new WRX within days of purcahse... yes, they really are that bad.
another Neon driver we need to avoid but, agrees on how bad the RE92's are for performance driving and blame the tires and not his stupid driving for an accident
"I live in a very snowy town and these tires I much better than the ones that it had before. Those were bald though, so I guess anything would be better. You could really tell when my car with bald tires slammed into another car and did $9000. in damage."
this guy obviously has some other issues .... like avoiding the Darwin theory
While I was only able to put around 500 miles on the tires before my car was stolen..."
this guy knows how to write a tire review
