Max Tire Width for CLK on 18" AMG 5 spoke

Max Tire Width for CLK on 18" AMG 5 spoke
New to the forum.
I upgraded my tires & wheels package before picking up my 2005 CLK 500.
The current set up is:
Wheels:
18" AMG 5 spoke
Tires:
Rear: 255 / 35 / 18
Front: 225 / 40 / 18
I am definately planning on lowering the suspension as I want a slightly more aggressive look. The current tires are also too narrow IMHO. My question is can I go wider on front and back tires, and can I use the same rims?
